Overview

Analytics Pitfalls & Principles ("we," "us," or "our") operates analyticspitfalls.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our site, purchase products, or interact with our content.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account (via Clerk), we collect your email address and name.

Purchase information: When you purchase card bundles or the audio pass, Stripe processes your payment. We store only your purchase status and product access — not your payment card details.

Usage data: We collect listening progress (chapter position, playback speed) to let you resume where you left off. We do not sell this data.

Assessment responses: When you take the Analytics Leadership Profile assessment, your responses are processed locally in your browser to generate your results. If you choose to enter your email to receive a personalized reading guide, we store your email address, pattern name, and dimension scores in our database. No account is required to take the assessment. If you choose to share your results (e.g., via social sharing), only a summary of your pattern type is shared — not your individual question responses.

Future versions: In future versions of the assessment, we may offer the option to save your results to your account or compare results over time. If we introduce these features, we will update this policy and clearly inform you before any additional data is stored. You will always have the choice to take the assessment without saving any data.

Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics to understand site traffic. This collects anonymized page view data with no personally identifiable information.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide access to purchased products (card bundles, audiobook)
  • To save your listening progress and preferences
  • To send transactional emails (purchase confirmations) via your registered email
  • To improve the site based on anonymized usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. Deleting your account removes your authentication data via Clerk. Purchase records may be retained for legal/tax purposes.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Clerk session management) and functional cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
